Energy is everything!

At the last SCO ( Shanghai Cooperation Organization) meeting the Power of Siberia 2 was signed between China and Russia.

So the same amount of gas that would go to Europe (80 billion m3) via Nord stream 2 now will go to China. For reference this is the total annual consumption of Germany.

The Groninger gas field, the largest in Europe was decommissioned in October 2023. Decommissioning would involve sealing the pipes with many kilometers of concrete. It contains 450 billion m3 of recoverable natural gas.

Side note, my first job was at the Gas unie.

Our energy prices are 3x compared to our competitors.

Energy is the life blood of any economy.

At the SCO India joined China and Russia, representing over 3 billion people. They are happy to deal amongst themselves -as you would.
